What Makes Our Little Learners Program Special? The Perfect Blend: Dance Expertise and Early Childhood Education for Your Child's Development.
At Florida Dance Gym, we believe in creating a dance experience that goes beyond steps. Ms. Justina's extensive background in early childhood education ensures that each class is thoughtfully designed to support your child's physical, social, and emotional development. We provide a structured yet nurturing environment where children thrive, learn, and discover the joy of movement.
Our classes are opportunities for children to develop essential social and emotional skills. We emphasize teamwork, cooperation, and respect for others, teaching children how to communicate effectively, build friendships, and navigate social interactions with grace and kindness.
My First Steps (1.5 Years - 3.5 Years old)
This class is a gentle and joyful introduction to the world of dance for our youngest movers and their caregivers. In a nurturing and playful environment, we'll explore basic movement, rhythm, and musicality through songs, games, props, and creative activities. This class focuses on bonding, developing gross motor skills, and fostering a love of movement in a fun, pressure-free setting. It's the perfect first step on a lifelong dance journey!
Dance Discovery (2.5 Years - 5 Years old)
This class builds upon the foundation established in "My First Dance Steps," encouraging exploration and discovery of different dance concepts. Through imaginative play, creative movement exercises, and age-appropriate music, children will develop their coordination, rhythm, and self-expression. We'll introduce fundamental dance elements like locomotor skills (hopping, skipping, jumping) and basic shapes, all while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere.
Dance Foundations I (4 Years - 6 Years old)
This class focuses on building a solid foundation in dance technique and terminology, preparing students for future dance styles. While still emphasizing fun and creativity, we'll introduce more structured dance exercises, focusing on posture, alignment, and basic steps in a variety of dance genres (e.g., ballet, jazz, tap). Students will develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and musicality, all while building confidence and a love of dance.
