Justina Adams Lund

Ms. Justina, Owner and Assistant Director of Florida Dance Gym, is a multi-faceted leader in the dance industry with a career built on the intersection of business, education, and artistry.

With eight years of experience owning a studio in Maine, Justina possesses a rare mastery of the "business of dance." While managing her studio’s operations from afar, she remained active in the local Tampa Bay scene, gaining unique exposure to various studio models and standards. This blend of remote leadership and hands-on teaching has made her a sought-after expert; she now works full-time for a dance studio management software company, guiding other owners through the intricacies of digital onboarding and studio logistics.

Justina’s "whole-child" teaching philosophy is anchored by a B.S. in Child Development and a Minor in Dance from the University of Maine. With over 12 years of professional experience across the educational spectrum, her background is as diverse as it is deep. She has served as a 1:1 Behavioral and Therapeutic Education Technician, a Primary Montessori Teacher, and a VPK Educator, giving her a sophisticated understanding of neurodiversity and developmental milestones. Her well-rounded perspective is furthered by years of leadership as a Summer Camp Counselor and After School Supervisor, ensuring that her classroom is a place where every student, regardless of their learning style, can thrive.

Ms. Justina brings 15 years of diverse dance teaching experience to the studio, having shared her love of movement with local theaters, churches, and community programs, as well as high-level competitive teams. Her own background as an All Star dancer took her to the prestigious Dance Worlds and UDA Nationals, foundations that led to a professional career as an NBA Gatorade League Dancer and a company dancer for DanceWorks Boston. Having also navigated the logistics of the industry as a backstage manager for a nationally known competition, Justina possesses a rare depth of knowledge. Whether she is teaching a recreational class at the gym or preparing a student for a national stage, she brings a wealth of professional experience to every dancer she mentors.

Whether she is navigating the latest studio technology or helping a young dancer find their footing, Ms. Justina embodies the balance and grace of our flamingo mascot, always leading with heart, balance, and a bit of fun!
